Introducing The Get Hitched Live Wedding Chat Show!

By May 11, 2020 No Comments

From the creators who brought you Get Hitched, Evently & the latest, soon to be launched restaurant booking platform, Bookia comes The Get Hitched Live Wedding Show! Jonathan Azzopardi Franz & Ben Vincenti are hosting a series of Facebook live discussions and chats with people in the wedding industry.

The live shows interact with various different wedding professionals including wedding planners, venues, caterers, videographers, etc. The shows deal with various issues relating to COVID-19 and its effect on the wedding industry. Our aim is to gain an insight into the different topics which could be on your mind if you’ve recently had to postpone or cancel your wedding, as well as if you’re currently planning your wedding for the near future.

Have wedding prices increased, decreased, stayed the same? What’s the deal with wedding supplier deposits? I’m sure these are only some of the questions that most of you have been asking yourselves these past few months. These topics were discussed in detail in our first live show with Chris X, one of the most sought after wedding planners locally. After his numerous years of experience in the wedding industry, Chris X was also able to share with us his recommendations to couples with wedding dates in 2020.

We also had the pleasure of speaking with Mauro Gasan, another popular wedding planner and professional in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) industry. Mauro gave us his views regarding the consequences of COVID-19 on local and international weddings and events, as well as his anticipations for the tourism, wedding and event industry in Malta post-pandemic.

But it’s not all doom and gloom…the live shows also talk about the positive outcomes of the current situation, and how you and your partner can move forward without looking back. We love seeing couples excited to plan their wedding and we want you to have peace of mind when thinking of your future wedding date. In fact, most individuals in the wedding industry are encouraging couples with dates in 2020 to postpone their wedding to next year if possible.

There is nothing better than planning your dream wedding with confidence and without fear, and to have something to look forward to in this current world of uncertainty. For the couples out there, please feel free to use our wedding checklist to help organise your special day.

It always helps to know that you’re not alone and that unfortunately, almost everyone in the world has been affected someway or another by the consequences of COVID-19. Nevertheless, better days are coming for all of us…it’s always good to keep your head high and look forward no matter what.

On our third episode we had a real treat for all of you. Soon to be married couple Naomi George & Damian Borg came on the show the day they were meant to be tying the knot! Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances were forced to postpone to October. In this live show we discuss how postponing their wedding has affected their lives, how their friends and family took it and how this has made them stronger as a couple. Check out the great show here:

In the fourth episode we welcomed the hugely talented photographers Dragana Rankovic Photographer & Therese Debono Photographer discussing Wedding Photography. In this discussion we step into the world of wedding photography, we get a glimpse into the perfection a photographer must entail on someones special day.  The amount of work that goes into different photography styles, lighting and the importance of working solo or in a team is discussed. How do they, as photographers work with videographers for instance? We are given a good insight on the details and measures that this takes.

How has COVID-19 impacted their profession and what is Dragana & Therese advice to couples opting for smaller, more intimate weddings? Dragana & Therese also give advice to couples on how they don’t lose their deposits. As a couple getting married have you ever wondered how long the deliver time frame for finalized products and services should be for photos? This all discussed here in the 4th episode here:

In the fifth episode recap starring Alberta Lia & co host Rosie Grech, we talked to the hugely talented ballroom dancer and instructor Jean Claude Dimech. Jean Claude has had over 10 years of experience and training in this line of work, where he started his very own dance company Jean Claude’s Je Danse.

Jean Claude’s Je Danse offers a wide variety of different services such as: Dance classes for couples or solo in the beauty of Latin & ballroom dancing, wedding dancing for couples/groups and even corporate events. The aim of the dance club is to deliver a committed approach to the art of dancing, sporting principles and knowledge sharing.

However, what does a dance for weddings, events and your personal life actually entail?

In this episode, we begin to understand how important the wedding dance is for a wedding. Not just for the bride and groom, but for all family & friends. Other aspects of the wedding dance that Jean Claude highlights are dance trends in weddings. Should you as a couple be going for a traditional dance or a more modern dance? What is more popular nowadays?

Jean Claude also discusses dance tips for brides and grooms-to-be. It’s not just about the practicing but your dress, the area, where will you stand etc? He mentions that you should not look at the wedding dance as just a bundle of steps, there is a whole process of learning which he goes into great detail about in the video link below.

Get Hitched & Jean Claude also look into tips and advice on staying active whilst COVID-19 keeps us home-bound. What fun physical activities can we do to pass the time and feel good about ourselves. Jean Claude, shares his insight into this and an interesting facebook group Date with Dance where he offers you dance lessons.

How does dancing fit into the world of corporate & team building events? Jean Claude, discusses this with Get Hitched. Jean Claude only tapped into this scene recently, look what he has to say about it here:

We would love to give a huge thank you to Jean Claude, for coming on to the show and giving us the opportunity and time to talk with him about his passion and work.
