Tips For Choosing Your Wedding Reception Venue in Malta

By August 27, 2018 No Comments

Choosing the right wedding venue is never an easy task. Most brides and grooms have a pretty good idea of what they would love, but ultimately, making that dream a reality is based on a lot more than just whim and fancy. Here are a few tips on how to choose the right wedding venue for your big day from the get-go:

1. Make the list of guests before looking for a wedding venue in Malta

Although a venue might look like it can take a certain number of people, it doesn’t mean that it can. Each venue has its own number restrictions for a variety of different reasons. Always be clear about how many people you plan to invite when speaking to the venue manager so that he or she can give you the necessary advice and maybe even offer you alternatives. Although it might be tempting to do so, try not to add to your list of invitees at a later stage as it just complicates life for everyone.

2. Take into account seasonality when choosing a wedding venue in Malta

It may be impossible to predict the exact weather you should expect on your wedding day but there are certain patterns that you should take into account, especially if you want an outdoor wedding. If you want to get married between October and February then it is advisable to go for an indoor wedding venue as the occurrence of rain is much higher in these months. Ironically, the months of June to early September have become too hot to have an outdoors wedding too. This is really one of those things where you may either have to compromise on the wedding date or your wedding venue.

3. Make sure that your wedding venue in Malta is feasible

It’s all very well to say that you want to get married on Filfla and have a reception there, but it’s very important that you find out whether your venue is feasible. Many people start out their wedding journey by picking picturesque venues only to discover quite early on in the game that they won’t be able to be provided with necessities such as electricity. As we mentioned before, some things may have to be compromised on. Ultimately, the more conventional you choose to go, the fewer problems you are likely to encounter on the way.
