Getting married in Malta might be able to guarantee the venue of your dreams and plenty of hospitality, but it can’t take away the inevitable nerves that come with one of the biggest days of your life. That said, with Maltese weddings comes an array of ways to calm your pre-wedding nerves by enjoying some of the endless activities this amazing island puts right on your doorstep.
1. Go for a walk
Nothing soothes the soul quite like the great outdoors and a morning walk ahead of the wedding will leave you reinvigorated and ready to say ‘I do!’. There are tons of places to stretch your legs in Malta.
2. Do some yoga
Yoga is huge here and whatever your ‘flow’, you’ll find it somewhere in town. Pack your yoga mat with your wedding day essentials kit and make time to ‘Namaste’ those pre-wedding stresses away.
3. Practice meditation
If you’ve made it through planning your wedding in Malta, bravo! Arranging a wedding is no mean feat and meditation can help you banish the stresses and strains of wedmin right through to the big day itself. Download a meditation app and find time amidst the madness of the wedding morning to take five minutes to yourself.
4. Plan a pre-wedding breakfast
Name a more relaxing occasion than Saturday morning brunch…we’ll wait. There is nothing that chills us out more than getting the girls together for avo on toast, lattes and laughter. Get everyone involved and you’ll be having such a good time that any pre-wedding nerves will be the last thing on your mind.
5. Hair of the dog
We aren’t ones to advocate drinking but if there is one time when a morning mimosa is an absolute must, it is your wedding day. Nothing says ‘it’s finally here!’ quite like popping the cork on a bottle of champers and chinking glasses with your favourite people before getting all dolled up for your big day. If you’re getting married in Malta, don’t forget to take the bubbly with you.
